Health services research helps to understand how the different aspects of the health care system, including access to healthcare services, and their quality and costs, are influenced by social, medical and behavioural factors. This includes performing qualitative and/or quantitative research to understand the influence of organizational structures, medical technology, health policy, payment system and patient behaviour on the overall health services utilizations.
