Dr. Jessica Ochalek, PhD, MSc, MPH, Research Fellow, Centre for Health Economics, University of York

Jessica Ochalek joined the Team for Economic Evaluation and Health Technology Assessment (TEEHTA) in the Centre for Health Economics since 2014.  She holds a PhD on “Accounting for health opportunity costs in key decisions in healthcare resource allocation in low- and middle-income countries” awarded by the University of York, an MSc in Health Economics from the University of York, a Master of Public Health degree from Boston University and a BA in Global Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Jessica is interested in the application of the principles and methods of economic evaluation to inform healthcare decision-making in low- and middle-income countries particularly, as this is where healthcare resources are most constrained and the potential health gains per additional resource spent on healthcare are greatest.

Dr. James Lomas, PhD, MSc, Lecturer, Department of Economics and Related Studies, University of York

James Lomas is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics and Related Studies at the University of York.
